We hope that everyone had an enjoyable and relaxing winter break! To start the new year, and new quarter off, here is a list of upcoming on-campus and online events to watch for...

On-campus: 

Join both DUSLA and SCALA members this Saturday for a laid-back afternoon of games and snacks!

Online: 

Next Thursday, January 24th, SCALA and DUSLA will be hosting an online social event through Adobe Connect from 7:00-9:00 PM EST. Anyone is welcome, and we will post the URL on our blog and on Facebook when it is available!

We have a number of other on-campus and online events coming up later in the quarter, so check back on our blog and in your email!

Congratulations to 2011-2012 SCALA president Jeff Lambert on being selected as a 2013 ALA Emerging Leader!

 

SCALA is proud to have past president Jeff Lambert selected as a 2013 American Library Association Emerging Leader. The ALA's prestigious leadership development program prepares recent MSLIS graduates for leadership positions in a variety of organizations and institutions. The program includes conference participation, professional development courses, and culminates in a presentation at the ALA Annual Conference. This competitive program helps recent graduates to network, connect with peers and potential mentors, and gain a better understanding of ALA structure and committee volunteerism.
